Local Lounge • Grille has just been notified that we've received our 3rd Consecutive Vancouver International Wine Festival Award.

This year we were awarded one of only two Silvers in the Okanagan Valley. This is step in the right direction up from last year's Bronze.

Congratulations and kudos go to Christa-Lee for an outstanding job on our Local BC VQA Wine List.

We are honoured to have received the award for Tourism and Hospitality Excellence at the 75th Annual Summerland Chamber Awards this evening. 

While we may have accepted the trophy, this award truly belongs to each and everyone of our talented team.

We're both extremely proud of the great work they do which is the most important part of our company. From the Front of the house (FOH), to the Back of House (BOH and everyone in between; they all have performed such an exceptional job that our peers have honoured Local Lounge • Grille with their choice for this year's Award. 

In addition we received numerous great comments about your efforts at the Gala event last night as well. Chef Paul, the food was amazing and Sophia, the service spectacular!

British Columbians will be celebrating their first Family Day Holiday on Monday February 11, 2013. In keeping with the concept of why some people thought the day was required, we will be CLOSED to allow our team to enjoy the day with their respective families.

Cassi Walker

Today is the last day for one of our long time store employees. Cassie Walker will be taking maternity leave and we will most likely will not see her happy bubbly face back in the store until 2014. We know our customers are going to miss her as well as us.

Now begins the work all over again. Local Liquor Market will be getting a little stretch over the next 60 days. We will be rotating the cooler 90 degrees so that you will be able to see all of the cold beer that we sell as well we will be making it slightly larger. 

We will be making all kinds of changes so bear with us if we do not have a full inventory of products, as we will require some room to work.
